Hi @Tesco, your colleague Vicky (🌻 lanyard) just walked past a disabled customer, who couldn’t get past a card stand in your Willenhall store. Tell her not to worry, I sorted it. Funny that someone with their own invisible disability would ignore someone with a visible one. 🤷🏻
Have done some #OT on myself and decided to take up #quilting to make sure I’m getting some balance during all this nonsense. It’s working , who’d have known 😉 #OccupationalTherapy
A child with disabilities often spend hours being taught how to interact with others...
But yet we never spend time teaching those without disabilities how to interact with those that do.
Why?
@OT_Francesca @CMacAllister86 My first degree was in costume. Interesting to hear that repeated as despite seeing the transferable skills I thought I was unique!
I love being an occupational therapist because I get to make a genuine, positive impact on the lives of children, young people and their families. Helping them to participate in the seemingly mundane but completely necessary activities of daily life!

World mental health day, sometimes just asking someone if they are okay can be the world of difference to someone- let's show some kindness, not just today, everyday ❤ Are you okay? 🖐
A special act of kindness: Our teams worked with @RemapUK to make a unique doll for a brave girl whose arms and legs were amputated last year as she received life-saving care at our Children’s Hospital.
