A year ago my Uncle Alex returned home to his beloved Scotland for the final time.
I write here my reflections from that day and thoughts for the future.

Alba leader @KennyMacAskill agrees with us that @Keir_Starmer must keep the promises made and has signed our open letter ✊
Before the 2024 general election Kenny was the sole voice on Grangemouth at Westminster.
Like us, Kenny wants the £200M spent for Grangemouth jobs
🗣️ @KennyMacAskill: “You cannot expect the SNP members to unite behind a strategy when the views of 43 of its branches have been so casually dismissed. This is treating the grassroots of the party with utter contempt”

@LadyJinty 32 yrs I've voted SNP.
I've voted SNP 1&2 since the beginning of the Scots Parl.
Its not got me indi and I've been doing it for 32 years.
What did Albert say the definition of insanity was? This time I'm voting SNP 1, Alba 2.
I want an indi Scotland and the SNP arent delivering.
“It's quite obviously a strategy to try and get the SNP re-elected without advancing the cause of independence”
Pretty much the only sensible thing he said, shame the rest is nonsensical.
Without a viable mechanism to achieve indy all the talk of increasing support by picking fights with the UK Government is meaningless as why the hell would that make them more likely to grant us a referendum?
Without some kind of vote to show that the majority of Scots actually want indy to happen it's just all talk.
EXCLUSIVE: Ross Greer has pitched an alternative Scottish independence strategy to rival First Minister John Swinney’s.
The Scottish Greens leadership candidate said it involves pushing the limits of devolution and picking more fights with the UK Government 👇
There was nothing complicated, convoluted or unusual about Nicola Sturgeon's conspiracy against Alex Salmond. As conspiracies go it was simple, mundane and only foiled by the trademark ineptitude of Sturgeon's reign. https://t.co/PqCR4xOYri
“I was brought up that you didn't speak ill of the dead. But if you're going to speak ill of the dead, at least make your claims accurate.”
@geoffaberdein describes claims about Alex Salmond in Nicola Sturgeon’s memoir as:
“Falsehoods at worst, fabrications at best.”

Exclusion of rebel motion shows the irrelevance of the SNP
The contemporary SNP is a rolling joke. It has no credibility or seriousness as a political party, as a movement for independence or as a government. It’s best bet would be to go out into the w… https://t.co/vcQzFyXUDr
@meljomur@Fergie_CJ@dtaylor5633 I get the logic: If the SNP lose constituency seats, they'll likely be compensated on the List, squeezing out Parties like Alba. So the only real chance for a 2nd party is if the SNP sweep the first vote... but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to argue for voting SNP at all.
@Fergie_CJ@dtaylor5633 Most annoying thing: Behind the scenes even Sturgeon could see the benefits of voting for a different Party on the list (though she was thinking about gender politics rather than independence).
So the public assertions about 'gaming the system' were and still are nonsensical.
This ⬇️Anything presented to high court is because *the Crown office* decided it's criminal. They & police have the power and DUTY to throw out malicious and daft allegations like hair pinging etc. A jury doesn't decide if things are criminal; it decides whether they happened.
