@KneeDeep395@traindreamsfilm Well said. It felt like a fever dream, but it stuck to me. I'm also in a pretty intense life stage where contemplation/mystical themes of time/purpose/nature really pull at my attention, and this movie and that in spades. How was the book? The film is all I have, so far 😎
Just watched @traindreamsfilm ... what an incredible, stunning, moving, haunting, contemplative movie. One of the best I've seen in quite some time. In awe.
@PromptLLM Not to be that guy, this feels akin to a mode of stoic journaling (take a situation you experienced that day, write what you felt you did well, write what you felt you did poorly, what you would do differently if experienced again).
While saying that, I suck at that habit 🙃
Dear headhunters & recruiters,
In what world do you think calling me 3 times in a row instills a sense of respect?
Maybe you are rushing to address your queue because people don't respond to inconsiderate telemarketing tactics?
Infuriating
@philosophymeme0 Word, after my peer thumbed through my illustrated copy of meditations, a dear friend called it "basic bish philosophy," to which I replied, "Sure, basic stuff is basic, also, it tends to be the most difficult to actually implement." *friend nods, I continue to practice.*
@omgsidewalks Probably sleep (not too much or it will go the other way), then exercise, sun, then authentic social connection, then (IMO) meditation or some sort of contemplative practice. All is best, but any momentum is good; ride the wave, hang in there.
@sunnkssdseraph Taking periodic moments of solitude does a whole lot of good along multiple levels. You don't have to be a hermit, but the idea of exercising solitude to grow closer to yourself and then others is real.
IMO, regular meditation gives you similar bumps on a smaller scale
