Not enough talk about how HUGE this 3 was, too. What a set. Fake Pistol, decoy wide pin/tight curl, run the step-up guy off the real middle pin? Hurley has some filthy shit.
"You have to call a timeout to initiate a challenge..
I love Mitch Johnson but you can't just say challenge..
He never called a timeout" ~ @KendrickPerkins#PMSLive
I *think* they had to do this. But the G1 choke job was very much on him, and complete lack of competitiveness at end of series totally unacceptable. His analytic comments were awful PR, too. Will have short leash next season.
Breaking: Cavs plan to keep Kenny Atkinson, coaching staff, front office together after Eastern Conference finals sweep, @TheAthleticNBA https://t.co/EE418WBoyt
There is a very thin line between success & failure in the NBA. The Knicks play hard as hell, are fun to watch, deserving excellent team. The East is also very weak this year & they got hot at right time. Doesn’t mean future is all sunshine or that Thibs wasn’t a damn good coach
Everyone keeps talking about the Magic’s dark future like we’re not the 4th youngest team in the league lol
You know who has a dark ass future??? The Knicks. Old ass team, they traded FIVE 1st-round picks for Mykal Bridges, they employee Karl Anthony Towns, and they probably won’t ever sniff the finals.
THATS FUCKING DARK.
I did think it was incredibly bizarre to see him grinning ear to ear after that unbelievable G1 choke job (which was in large part his fault). Weird dude.
I think we’re in for 2 really good conference finals
Wemby is a freak, obv. But he will battle some real adversity this series. OKC needs to show him some diff looks - Caruso too short to protect against lobs. I expect Wemby will have one or two real stinkers this series. The wild part about him is that he’s probably 20% as good as he will be. Still unbelievably raw from skill standpoint. He will break Wilt’s record one day. Bookmark this tweet. But OKC will put more size on him and try to beat the shit out of him and he will struggle at times for sure.
Cavs really snatched defeat from the jaws of victory last night. Holy cow. I get wanting to save timeouts, but Atkinson needs to have SOME feel and call a timeout before they score 20 damn straight. That was coaching malpractice. CLE did actually flash some adjustments at Brunson - “weaking” him to his right hand and sending a second defender. NYK did hit some tough shots & you’ll let Landry Shamet beat you, frankly. But Mitchell needs to be more aggressive getting the ball like Brunson was in Q4.
I think both series will go 7, and it’s a coin flip from there. Should be fun!
We must’ve been watching a different game
There are *SOME* things Harden does well defensively, particularly guarding guys taller than he is
Small guards who have wiggle off the bounce? No.
I swear with like 7 min left Mike Brown was looking down his bench about to pull all his starters and move onto G2. Unbelievable. Maybe the wildest turnaround I’ve ever seen.
The funny thing about this shot is, if he missed it you KNOW all the talking heads were gonna talk about tomorrow was how the NBA is broken & this giant dude is taking a 40 footer in OT & Steph ruined the game & get your ass inside & yada yada 😂😂
Don’t understand why Chet can come over on that last play but Wemby can’t come over to take away a layup on the play before. Take away the rim first!!! Trust your help/rotations from there
A lot of playoff press is just campaigning. You’re constantly working the league/officials to try to get a more favorable whistle. Last night I did feel like OKC was fouling ~ every possession knowing refs can’t call it every time. Physical af. LA will get better whistle in G3.
“They have a few guys that foul on every possession….
They're hard enough to play. You gotta be able to just call it if they foul and they do foul"
JJ Redick ready to take a fine after calling out how OKC is officiated
BREAKING: The Orlando Magic have dismissed head coach Jamahl Mosley, sources tell ESPN. Mosley's tenure in Orlando finishes after five seasons, including three consecutive playoff runs from 2023 to 2026. Orlando had a first-round elimination for the third straight time Sunday.
Tobias Harris is a PRO’S PRO and has had a phenomenal season as a player AND leader for a young af Pistons’ team. Shut your condescending snotty ass up and sit down.
