I think he got what he wanted from Indians overseas, not so much Indians here. I’m not going to speculate why. I do think people should know and recognize the difference I cultures though.
Indians who come here and adopt the culture are welcome. Indians who come here and wave the indian flag while engaging in politics should be sent back.
I believe you’re right. I also don’t think many Indians actually showed up. I’m just explaining why there was this reaction. A guy demeans the locals and puts foreign flags on a rally meant to insult the locals. The locals will usually get mad about that.
Also, I’ve seen the flag I’ve served under get burnt, stomped on, and more many times. I don’t like it, but it’s a protected right.
@tuuu28283 When I absolutely have to.
I got a handmade leather wallet at something called Mule Day when I was a teenager. It made it a long way before I had to replace it.
@JackLinFLL I was in a Home Depot when the most recent hurricane in this area was coming in. People were getting last minute stuff or whatever they forgot. Some dude with a NY accent (coulda been NJ) was losing his shit on a cashier because he had waited to the last second to get prepared.
I’d bet you’re seeing someone that moved down coming back for a visit. I didn’t know anyone growing up that went up north. Course we were all poor for the most part and from Florida.
Travelled through Bangor on my way overseas one time. The people were nice but it was stupid cold.
@stukid57@JackLinFLL@Snakebit1776 Yes…but are you from Florida or did you move down? I don’t doubt the guy sees Florida plates up there, but I’d bet it’s from people that moved down from up there.
