Just took a little trip to #NoMansSkyFoundations inspired by other retro journeys and found this peach of a planet with gorgeous lengthy waterfilled canyons to explore. @nomanssky love the retro colour and isolated feel. video in the reply tweet shortly
The most influential artist you’ve never heard of died a few days ago. John Blanche was commissioned by Games Workshop in the late 1970s to illustrate the first British version of Dungeons and Dragons, then Warhammer and Warhammer 40k. He created the aesthetic now known as Grimdark, which in time laid the foundations for GW to become a multi-billion £ company. Along the way, most importantly, he fired millions of young imaginations (including my own). Quite the legacy.
