I'm gonna go see the new Resident Evil movie this week, but before I do please understand:

- I REALLY dislike Zach Cregger's other movies (Weapons & Barbarian).

- I'm a huge RE fanboy since I was a kid, started with RE2 on the PS1. and have played pretty much all the games since including spinoffs.

- I care about RE lore way too much.

- I hate all other RE movies.

- I dislike all of the quotes Zach Cregger has given out about the movie during its marketing phase.

so I am pretty much the one singular person BUILT to hate this movie... BUT I GENUINELY DO TRULY WANT TO GIVE IT A FAIR SHOT DESPITE THAT!

so ill try going into it with an open mind, because everyone says its really good and I don't want to mindlessly hate if I can find something to enjoy about an entry into my favorite franchise.

ill QRT this post after I go see it with my thoughts! I genuinely hope ill be able to enjoy it 🙏

Something else I want to say.

I'm not trying to excuse his past actions at all.
There are thing he did back then he shouldn't have done.
But seeing someone admit their faults and try to grow through the hate is rare,
and honestly, I think that's worth supporting.
