@Wowq3k@TheHatalwayswin It’s like halfway between Naked Gun and Roger Moore James Bond. They are very aware that what is happening is funny and the actors play it straight for laughs
@CopperKnight8 The fact that I started reading Batman when Morrison, Snyder, and Dini were all writing Batman simultaneously is insane. Tomasi kind of falls off hard when Damian dies and they start filling time for resurrection, I really like his Brad Walker collabs with the Arkham Knight story
@RedLReviews Yeah but even Morrison knew that this outcome was inevitable if you look at interviews right after the Leviathan arc. It’s the nature of comics and no one can stop it. I’m okay with it in the sense that the quintessential Batman run had to have Robin dying and Jason coming back
@Pepperislost@vrkurosawa@kaulso Nah it’s more like there are individual stories that are good. Like if it’s a major villain like Riddler/Penguin/Catwoman it’s probably a good one but if it’s a mob story/bat-family/space story it’s more likely to suck. The 50s is the worst and then 66-69 is fun Adam West riffs
@raw_tal3nt@NateB_Panic I find it so funny that capitalism gets to suck ass but Communism has to be held to an impossibly high standard because you numbskulls never want anything to get better. If a country other than the US has one single problem it is a failed state due to socialism
@WONDEROUSW0MAN Really betraying the gothic horror and pulp roots. His world is built to be an unfair one and his mission is that of an unwell man. If we take Batman with no moral ambiguity he becomes an empty shell, a family man who only does good and that’s not interesting to me
