Biscuits being prepared using production trays dipped in contaminated water at a manufacturing unit in Hyderabad.

H-FAST raids on units producing Osmania biscuits, maska buns, cream rolls, Mysore Pak, sweets, cakes and cookies uncovered serious food safety violations, including heavy pest infestation, unhygienic conditions, mislabelled edible oil and unauthorised synthetic food colours.

Notices have been issued and action initiated under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

• Ensuring food is prepared and dispatched only from approved premises
• No removal or suppression of genuine customer reviews relating to food safety or hygiene

The initiative aims to improve food safety compliance, platform accountability, and consumer protection across Cyberabad.

Following yesterday's food safety inspection, business operations of Alsaba Restaurant, Gachibowli, have been discontinued with immediate effect due to serious food safety and hygiene violations.

The establishment will remain closed until further orders and will be permitted to resume operations only after complying with the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and obtaining clearance from the competent authority.

Food safety is non-negotiable.

On Nov 1, 2025, Amaira, a Class 4 student, died by suicide after jumping from the fourth floor of the Neerja Modi School in Jaipur.

She had been bullied for 18 months, with classmates targeting her using "bad words," many of which carried sexual undertones. However, her class teacher repeatedly dismissed complaints from both Amaira and her parents, telling them instead that she needed to adjust to the other kids.

The parents have now released the school CCTV footage they obtained to the public. The footage reveals that even on the day of her death, Amaira approached the teacher multiple times for help but was ignored.

Hard to believe that teachers, even at such posh schools, are not trained to handle severe bullying or recognize a child in deep psychological distress. Totally preventable death.

But the temple administration doesn’t accept digital payments for tickets, or prasadam. Everything has to be in CASH.

You will find devotees always asking someone if they have cash and they wud do upi, to buy tickets or Prasadam.

Sri Jayaraman Ganapathi Iyer(68) and his wife Kamakshi (64) are living in Sethanipuram(Pin:610107),a village known for (predominantly)
Sukla yajur, near Nachiarkoil-Kumbakonam,Tamilnadu.
I had been to that small micro interior village for a Radhakalyanam in Sethanipuram Perumal Temple and met him a year ago in the temple where he is working now.

He is working as a priest( Kurukal) in the Vinayagar and Sivan Temple in the same small village.

No income.

No children.

Wife is anemic.

She has a tumor inside the GI System. Unable to go for surgery because of poor health and financial reasons.

Tumor had to be operated. She is very fragile / weak,suffering from giddiness,cramps,breathlessness.

She has heart blocks.. Unable to do household activities.

Hence she is very fragile / weak.

Jayaraman is suffering from High BP and Hi salt(hypernatremia).
Monthly Medical expenses are more than 6k for both.

Two local village donors have given him cows.
Both are pregnant.
Unable to feed the cow. No money.
