"Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
earnest prayer to God carries the power to rewrite it. Prayer isn't desperation screaming into silence. It's a petition that moves the heart of God. (Isaiah 38:1-5)
When I read Hezekiah's story, I'm struck by this: God Himself had already spoken Hezekiah's death through Isaiah. The verdict was sealed. And yet, when Hezekiah turned to the wall and prayed, and he reminded God of his faithfulness, God changed what He had declared.
*Isaiah 33:2*
[2]Lord, be gracious to us;
we long for you.
Be our strength every morning,
our salvation in time of distress.
My prayer for us today🙏🏽🙏🏽
Isaiah 17:14 is not a promise of rescue for the righteous it is a verdict on the wicked. Darkness is not a hiding place. It is where their torment finds them.
In all you do, keep your faith and the good Lord will fight for you.
This is what Isaiah 17:14 tells us: as a believer don't be perturbed, sad or helpless because those who oppress you keep soaring in their advances, the Lord sees it all, and Has time for everything
This is the portion of those who do evil. At evening, when darkness covers them, trouble comes and they cannot see what is hitting them. By morning it seems to ease, but only for a while. The next night it returns. A cycle with no exit.
