Why in living fuckery has @IMAX so far failed to authorise a release of Dune and now Dune Part 2 in a full frame home cinema format? We all know that we can’t have the entire IMAX image, but at least a full 16:9 would be something. Every Disney release has this.
@tony49@hammydodger91 Nonsense. Glastonbury is the hardest festival to get any kind of comp to. Even amongst BBC staff it’s like gold dust. Been like that since the late 90’s when you could blag into most other ones. And they are capacity nazis since being threatened with closure after overcrowding.
@hammydodger91 Large groups is exactly the answer. You can only buy six tickets per person, but if you have a 30 people all trying on repeat for all the groups of 6 the odds shorten.
Still pretty long odds anyway. It is essentially luck and numbers.
@JuliaHB1@SuellaBraverman This is such an incompetent description of current events. The violence at the most recent march was driven and carried out by extreme right wing thugs. Emboldened by the HS claiming disproportionate policing of said thugs.
If you’re going to be a journalist, BE A JOURNALIST.
@poppyandrosey@JaggersRay So the view of the membership is that homelessness is a ‘lifestyle choice’? I try not to generalise for modestly large groups of people, but if that is a truism then it would be deeply sad.
@joel_orme That would be 1991.
Nevermind, Metallica (aka The Black Album), Screamadelica, Badmotorfinger and Blood Sugar Sex Magik all released within days of each other. Ten, Blue Lines and Temple of the Dog slightly before. Out of Time earlier that year. Seems unreal.
@DarbyshireAdele@NormanBrennan@BBC@CPSUK For who? She wasn’t part of the investigative team. If the police can’t self regulate then their concerns about biased prosecution for malpractice fall on deaf ears.
@DarbyshireAdele@NormanBrennan@BBC@CPSUK And yet in that same series a clearly corrupt officer making hundreds of calls to gang members and passing information to assist them in crime escaped prosecution and any internal penalty. The problem cuts both ways.
@glastonbury ‘Some individuals’ failed to get registration? You have to pay attention. If the new system requires we wait on every last person to get off their backsides we will end up with yearly delays and an even more apocalyptically difficult ticket day. That’s not ‘fairness’, it’s silly.
@ThatKevinSmith My two-and-a-half year old found your inaction figure. He was overjoyed. He insisted on sleeping with it and as he succumbed to the sandman sighed “I LOVE Kevin!”.
@TylerWe26060191@ThatKevinSmith I don’t think the movie sucks at all. I just wasn’t ready for the sheer volume of pathos at the end.
Although I do think that the omitted voice over that Kev reads during the credits should have been used to tame the sadness a touch. Not Kev though. Dante’s voice.
An evening on my own and needing a belly laugh I finally got round to watching Clerks III. WTF @ThatKevinSmith! What did you just DO to me!?! It’s really SAD! And I’ve run out of Ted Lasso to cheer me up!
