The pleasure of growing and harvesting just enhances the pleasure of gastronomic creativity. When you've watched, waited, coddled and anticipated, you don't gobble -you savour. To over-eat would be unthinkable. The answer to healthy eating is delight in the whole process :-)
" For some reason, we think of comedy shows as shows, but we think of scientific seminars as journal articles that, inconveniently, have to be communicated verbally by a living organism." https://t.co/NhmJf7bMmt
My father was in palliative for 2 weeks, no visits allowed. We finally got in for his final hour on this earth. My mother's resultant trauma and grief is horrifying. She promised she would never leave him and #COVID19Aus forced her to break that vow.
I cannot see why safe arrangements can’t be made for family to be with dying relatives - is there a room where you could be alone? This is punitive #COVID19

Tim Spector: ‘more is needed and education is the key’. @timspector calls for a renewed focus on food education to reverse years of damage and give children knowledge of fresh and diverse foods. We agree. Every child deserves taste education. https://t.co/ianVgmvV48
Fact. I am genuinely fantasizing about planting this year's pumpkins. I actually dream about this stuff 🥰. Last night's REM involved a large pumpkin hybrid of all my saved varieties. I cooked it with walnuts, maple and chilli and dressed it in French cream cheese.🤣
I'm so not up to date on creditable nutrition podcasts. Would appreciate recommendations! I'm not much of a podcast gal, but students like the medium and I'm always being asked for recommendations. #nutrition#podcasts#reliablesource
Evidence-based Dietary Guidelines...same message worldwide, but vastly different uptake of advice. It's not a huge reach to question communications channels here...https://t.co/zTWKAIlIcl
@Constababble Dude, I started off as an actor/muso and went into science/sci-com with vague notions of better job security...Hearing you with crystal clarity :-)
Why I became a scientist? It has to do with flannel flowers, Beethoven, Love, Food and Shakespeare...among other things. #ScienceTwitter#scicomm#nutrition
