'I am married and I have sons' - Ilyes Mzoughi after a sexually explicit video cost him his new job
The man nicknamed Bra Sisu during his time with Kaizer Chiefs has been fired by Raja Casablanca as the club's goalkeeper coach after an explicit video of him circulated on social media, prompting the club to immediately terminate his contract to protect its reputation and values.
Mzoughi claims he was blackmailed and noted that he never experienced anything similar while working in Tunisia and South Africa, possibly linking it to Raja goalkeeper’s brilliant performance against Hassania Agadir.
“The details of the video that spread today are old, from when I was the goalkeeper coach of one of the African national teams during a continental event," 51-year-old Mzoughi said.
"I received a call from someone who asked me to watch a video clip via WhatsApp and threatened to publish it if I didn’t send him 20 thousand dollars (around R325,000). I absolutely refused to submit to his blackmail because the video is fabricated, and you can submit the clip to digital forensics to verify that. I am married and have sons, and I absolutely cannot commit such shameful acts. Since that blackmail incident, I have had several experiences in Tunisia and South Africa without any problems, and I have never caused any issue throughout my coaching career, which has lasted about 15 years.
"However, today I was surprised by the re-publication of this clip by one of the agents in an attempt to blackmail me again and cut off my livelihood, which caused me great psychological distress. So I decided to submit my resignation to the board of Raja Club Athletic to protect the image of this great club, which has given me great support from its fans since I joined. I take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to the club’s board for their professionalism and warm welcome," he continued.
"Now I have left the team, but what I want is for my image to remain clean in the eyes of Raja fans. Once again, I tell them the video clip is fabricated and they can verify that. Also, the timing of the video’s release immediately after (Raja goalkeeper Yassine) Zoubeir’s brilliant performance against Hassania Agadir confirms that it was planned. Just as I have been psychologically destroyed, I pray to God Almighty to destroy whoever was behind the fabrication and re-publication of the clip.”
Coach Fernando da Cruz is now fully in the building, stepping into his role with clear intent, strong leadership, and a shared belief in what this team can become.
With the full technical team in place, the focus is clear. Every drill matters. Every detail counts. Every day is a step towards something bigger.

It's time to accept the reality, Kaizer Chiefs are no longer on the same level as Sundowns and Pirates. Right now, the club's biggest asset isn't what's happening on the pitch, it's the millions of loyal supporters who continue to stand by the badge despite years of disappointment.
Let’s stop fooling ourselves. Kaizer Chiefs are not competing with Sundowns or Pirates anymore. Those clubs identify top targets, spend money, and strengthen their squads. Chiefs wait for free agents and bargain deals, then expect supporters to celebrate them as blockbuster signings.
We’re expected to lose our minds over every average acquisition while our rivals continue to widen the gap.
Renewing the contracts of Bvuma, Solomons & Mmodi tells us that @KaizerChiefs are happy with just finishing in the Top 8 and nothing more.
This club is no longer ambitious; They are happy on maintaining PSL status. We are supporting a finished and Dead FC.
