non-europeans are just pissing me tf off at this point like what part about “highest temperatures EVER RECORDED in europe” does not come across. happy you have higher temps where you live, those are NOT NORMAL HERE.

John C. Reilly: “Why aren’t people on the right wing concerned about human rights? They’re human too. Elon Musk says don’t be fooled by the empathy trap. Empathy is not a trap, empathy is a superpower. It’s what makes human beings exceptional, our ability to look outside ourself”
So I'm probably going to be off X for the rest of the night because watching my timeline fill up with people acting like calling out bad behavior was somehow the real problem is honestly weirding me out. Yes, it's good that she apologized. People make mistakes, and owning up to them matters, but this is being taken way too far.
The people who pointed out that the original post was unfair, mean-spirited, and could have real consequences for a journalist's career were not wrong for doing so. Accountability isn't bullying. Criticism isn't hate. Sometimes people we admire mess up, and it's okay to say so.
At the same time, some of the reactions on the other side have been completely out of line. Nobody deserves death threats, harassment, or cruelty because they were rude, had a bad moment, or made a mistake online. Please, for the love of God, stop saying things like that.
There has to be room between "she did absolutely nothing wrong" and "she's a terrible person who deserves to suffer." People are allowed to mess up, be called out, apologize, and learn from it. That's how accountability is supposed to work. Supporting someone doesn't have to mean telling them they did nothing wrong. Sometimes the most supportive thing you can do is acknowledge that they messed up, appreciate the apology, and move forward.
woke up to paget going on a coke rant and attacking a journalist for a review that was just highlighting how shows should give room for proper storytelling by having more episodes than shortening the format…this is so embarrassing
For context, when Winona Ryder eventually started doing interviews again after being out of spotlight, she was still being asked about, and having to explain nicking a few items from a department store. This utter scumbag is getting fluff piece softball interviews.
She got 3 university degrees, she’s a business woman and ceo, she got married in her 30s (to a man 5 years younger than her) and had kids in her mid 30s. her entire life is the result of feminism
Unlike a lot of Hollywood celebrities I appreciate that Seth Rogen is willing to admit he cut off friends that turned out to be abusive or even confessing that he was brainwashed by Zionism from a young age and didn’t know about Palestinians so now he refuses to live in Israel and distances himself.
My roomate was attacked by her boyfriend in a jealous rage. He tried to choke her and instead of screaming or resisting she stayed calm and started to caress his face and then kiss him. This calmed him down and they spent the night together. The next morning she was on the train back to her hometown. Men cannot even start to comprehend what women are sometimes forced to do to merely survive.

while jerry seinfeld is trending for being a garbage human regarding palestine, let's take a moment and remember his predatory romantic relationship with a 17 year old child who was literally still a high school student when they started dating while seinfeld was 38 years old
