The GOP has made an unexpected, unintended turn. Here’s why this change makes Republicans almost as bad as cosmopolitan, effete liberals and elite, snobby Frenchmen. By Shadi Hamid
@Bitch_IOperate@esjesjesj Objective reality is when someone says, “Please call me Mike,” and you reply, “OK, Mike.”
It’s also basic respect.
Call people the names they want to be called.
@Red_Dawn1313@0liviajulianna@JakeLandauTO School is “coded to” girls. 3 in 5 college grads are women.
At my son’s high school, the National Honor Society was 90% girls. If half the school’s students were Black, but they were only 10% of the NHS, it would have raised alarms. But because it’s boys, we hear crickets.
@jennymaria @LittleMammith I am (and was, when single) that guy. I’m an only child of a single mother, and I think that’s why I like women and am comfortable around them. Women notice.
@joshythemad@LauraMiers To establish care with a new nurse practitioner I had to schedule two months out.
I’ll bet my experience is more typical than yours.
@joshythemad@LauraMiers Nice! My longtime doctor retired without notifying me. He sold to a Medicare-only concierge practice that deleted my medical records. I found another primary care doctor. She abruptly shuttered her practice, without warning, 18 months later.
@NoodleFighting@MrsMarkRoberts@sparklestars0@littleapostate I inherited a house in which you can close the kitchen doors, and people in the living room can actually hear the TV or have a non-shouting conversation while a meal is being prepared.
@KazHeatCulture@the_transit_guy PBI is my main airport and FLL is my secondary, and I can’t stand the place. Security lines have improved but it’s still a dispiriting experience.
