@nathgriffith Thanks for sharing, similar where I am. Agree re: the varied reasons for it. Have you looked at potential delayed presentations in much detail? Something I'd like to do locally but hard to objectively assess delay in case of illnesses (easier to do for injuries)
Our 5 year old seems to have deemed himself the local virus warden.
Over the fence to our neighbour:
‘JEAN YOU NEED TO GO INSIDE’
‘Okay I will in a minute’
‘YOU’RE OLD AND THERE’S A VIRUS’
‘I’m not that old thank you’
‘HOW OLD ARE YOU JEAN?’
‘I’m 68.’
‘THAT IS NEARLY 70 JEAN.’
@nataliemitton We've added E for Excellence to highlight examples of good practice or other significant events for the dept. Also try to make sure Education covers anything interesting from the previous shift and educational priorities for the oncoming staff eg WBAs
We want to reduce the impact that the College and our specialty has on the environment and need your help. Apply now to join our Environmental Special Interest Group and help us become more green: https://t.co/hNhGfCadxa
@AIM4Stroke That was supposed to say more! Not scanning uncomplicated TIAs in ED will make quite a difference to resource use and patient flow I would imagine.
@gareth4211118 @Helenlaird @nataliemitton @musomedic@benjordan60 @LeilahDare Really like the FERF M&M presentation @gareth4211118 . @musomedic we should do something similar with the PIMS. If there are departments not doing this yet, they need to get on it ASAP. Celebrating excellence makes everyone feel great.
