This telephone box in the heart of Sea Mills is the Sea Mills Museum.
Opened in 2019, it repurposed a disused 1936 K6 re telephone box (originally installed to celebrate the jubilee of George V).
Inside are historic photographs, artefacts and information about the area’s history.
🚢 It’s 22nd June, and on this day in 1948 the HMT Empire Windrush arrived in Britain. 800 passengers from the Caribbean were on board.
As we commemorate the 75th anniversary our new project at Glenside Museum “Answering the call” is starting to take shape.
