Politicians (or their campaigns/supporters) get big advances or royalties for books (often ghostwritten or lightly edited). Where bulk purchases are made and frequently funded by campaign money, donors, or organizations to boost reported sales and/or create "bestseller" status. Unsold copies often end up pulped or on pallets trashed because demand was artificially inflated and real public interest was low. This effectively funnels money to the politician, or an ideology while the physical books have little lasting value on there own and in this case what made it to the gen. pubic in an effort continue to toxify the minds of the morons. Damage Done.
