Spatial and temporal analysis of tipping points of the socio-ecological system of the German North Sea under different management scenarios.@BMBF-funded project
On the 3rd day, @VanessaStelzen1 presented our results to our several members of our steering committee. They are active in different areas of our #SES, the north sea. We got to discuss our management recommendations with them and got valuable feedback. 4/4
We hosted our final #workshop last week in Hamburg. It was a 3-day event focused on scientific exchange, improving our communication skills and the presentation and discussion of our results. 1/4
Day 2 was communication day. Thanks to @DickeyCollas of @ICES_ASC, Roland Cormier of @DFO_MPO and Stefan Draf of @geomagazin for highly interesting talks & discussing key points of good communication between science and policy and why scientists should talk to journalists. 3/4
Curious to see how the North Adriatic community changed over the past decades due to fishing and warming? Check our new paper where we detect regime shifts and evaluate stability https://t.co/mAXFvDwV42! Also a contribution to @MSCActions project RESET! @DiBio_UniPD@ImfHamburg
Check out our new paper on irreversible regime shifts in the North Sea! The majority of past literature did not look at hysteresis so we applied the stochastic cusp model and detect irreversible changes! @SeaUseTip@ImfHamburg https://t.co/9dpiohtldD
When determining #fishing quota everyone should be aware of the risk of (in)stability of stable states and the influence on management. Want to know how?
Listen to Benjamin Blanz' talk during tomorrows session E from 1:00pm to 2:30pm of #ICESASC22.

#TippingPoints#fisheries#ClimateChange

On the final stretch! During the last two days we worked hard on bringing our results together and formulating management recommendations. It was great to have (almost) the whole team together in Bremerhaven! #BioTip#wehaveimpact@Thuenen_aktuell@HereonHelmholtz@unihh
Congratulations to our colleague Emily Quiroga-Gomez! 🥳 With her presentation on "Vulnerabilities of a socio-ecological system trough the lens of a bio-economic model" she impressed the conference participants and spread the important message of @SeaUseTip. @unihh#WCNRM2022
