My experience at DPMMR was absolutely life changing. Never could I have imagined being part of such a passionate and supportive team. I will treasure these memories, the knowledge I have learned, and the friendships I’ve made for the rest of my life 🤍
@k1llerwhales @cetacean_73 I would agree. I don’t really find it helpful or necessary to alarm people with this information. If it’s private and needs to stay that way, fine, but this just stresses people out with no way to comfort or quell their fears.
@cetacean_73 I really love when they show the orcas the little plushies and cards and things the guests make for them. They showed Malia the birthday card I made her and it just warmed my heart
@cetacean_73 Oh and the Mis-ID too, it just irks me when people talk about her as if she wasn’t a real human and one of the greatest trainers of our generation
@csartie_ People share plenty, but there are always special cases and there are always people who are gonna share info that’s supposed to be kept personal or within the facility. I don’t think we should make assumptions about this situation, let alone the entire field.
@csartie_ It could be for a number of reasons. Maybe the animal has a health issue the facility isn’t wanting to share, maybe they’re preparing the animal for a move and that info shouldn’t be public. That could put that person at risk of losing their job if they share that info
FL residents and students, sign this petition to save the FL Manatees!
I just signed a @theactionnet petition: Save the Florida Keys. Sign here: https://t.co/BMdLCPVINU
@cetaceaneeded Also unrelated, but at the Tampa Airport they played a video of a dugong swimming underwater, I think they thought it was a manatee, but it definitely wasn’t 😂
@cetaceaneeded Since it seems they will be filling the gap of the rehab team needed for that specific species I really am hoping they will be innovators and truly try to provide them with unique and specialized care!
