Rod Brind'Amour shares the one question every competitor and great teammate needs to ask themselves.
"You just gotta ask yourself one question all the time - are you doing your part?"
"Whatever it is. It's not going right. Okay. Are you doing everything you can every day to make it right?"
"If the answer is yes - stick with it. Then stick with it. It'll either turn or it won't. But you can at least know there's nothing more you can do. Feel good about that."
It's about giving your best all the time.
Then he made it personal:
"Are you doing everything you can to be the best player you can be?"
"You'll know if you're not."
That's the question. Simple. Honest. And no hiding from it.
You can't control the outcome.
You can only control the effort and how you show up.

@USAHockeyCoach If this is true and @usahockey wants multi sport athletes, then why are USA hockey sanctioned events going on right now and kids are missing their spring sports cause of youth hockey parity and the 11,10,09 festival tryouts ? Actions vs. words??
Andrei Vasilevskiy on blocking out the noise before overtime of Game 6 against the Montreal Canadiens:
“To be honest, I didn’t hear [what was said in the locker room before OT], I was kind of one-on-one with my thoughts. It’s the same as the crowd here, I don’t hear anything. Same in the locker room, I don’t really listen to anything. Seriously, I have too much going on in my head to listen… It comes with experience, obviously. I mean, sometimes I’m losing it for sure during the season. I’m a human too, but if I do, I do that in the locker room by myself.” #GoBolts
It takes resilience to win a championship and the Seahawks had it in spades 🏆
