@MatthewColler I feel like people are sleeping on the Vikings for the division. They were 1.5 games out last year with the carousel at QB. We probably win the division if JJ stayed healthy all year. As long as Kyler or JJ starts each game we will win the division. IMO.
@shark_the_sob That first rounder is most likely going to be in the 20s. Ya think KOC is as concerned about that as opposed to getting the clear RB1 to help this season and going forward as a staple of his offense. Jones isnโt going to be around after this season. And gets hurt frequently.
Tweet 1/5 Hey @Vikings and #Skol Nation, I just mapped out the exact trade scenario to vault up to #6 and draft RB Jeremiyah Love WITHOUT ruining the 2026 roster reload. It's a masterclass in draft capital management. Letโs talk about the Cleveland Browns trade.
Tweet 5/5 The End Result: You walk out of the 1st round with the undisputed RB1 to pair with Kyler Murray (or J.J. McCarthy), JJ, Addison, and Hockenson. That read-option backfield is a cheat code. Vikings front office, make the call to Cleveland! ๐๐ #NFLDraft#Vikings
@MatthewColler Maybe not that much cheaper after seeing he is probably wanting similar to the 28/year that Trey got. Who knows though. Could be enticing for them to get Greenard and next years 3rd and swap first this year though. We only give up the one pick and they get JG and a pick?
@MatthewColler thoughts on moving up with Chiefs at #9 and giving the 18th, 3rd this year, 2027 2nd? With getting that comp pick in the 3rd this year you really arenโt losing much for a possible great player. Chiefs make sense. Jump over biggest threats to take Love ahead of us
@MatthewColler Just got me thinking with the Hendrickson news that the Bengals could be an interesting option to trade up with using Greenard as part of the deal to lessen draft capital used. Bengals defense was terrible before losing Trey. I would think that Greenard would be a cheaper $ amt.
@MatthewColler And honestly the thing I am paying attention to the most so far is what other teams ahead of us are doing and what they means for their draft needs and if that causes Love to slide even more. Basically what happened with the Saints and Chiefs signing RBs. Now itโs CIN and DAL IMO
@MatthewColler Just think his impact on the offense would be what would be needed. Defense with Flores will be fine. Offense was the struggle last year due to mostly injuries in my opinion. If McCarthy was healthy all last year I think we were in the playoffs pretty easy.
@MatthewColler I agree if would be a lot if we didnโt get that comp pick this year. Essentially you are only losing 1 pick next year. You still have your 2nd and 3rd pick this year. And if you are going to help out a young QB ya gotta get a big threat in the backfield. A 1st rd C there at 18?
@MatthewColler correct me if Iโm wrong but didnโt they start out almost immediately tweaking his throwing mechanics at rookie camp last year? I just wonder if they ruined him and his natural throwing motion which he was accurate in college with? He wasnโt this off in college.
@MatthewColler Agreed on not being able to simulate the gameplay in practice though and these reps are necessary to get used to doing it all the time when the pressure is on. I donโt think you get the answers by benching him for Brosmer, but I am curious to see what Brosmer would do. :S
