HELLO WORLD 4 — 1964

We’ve moved the project back to the IBM System/360 era.

The new version uses 80-column punch cards, magnetic tape, fixed-point arithmetic, batch processing, and a deliberately slow high-dimensional semantic system inspired by modern embedding models.

The machine is not simply told to print HELLO WORLD.

It must derive the phrase, verify the meaning, validate every character, generate the machine-level program, punch that program back onto cards, audit the result, and only then authorize a single execution.

Target runtime: approximately 12 months.

Next phase: we continue backward past vacuum tubes and into mechanical computation.

Tonight we’re inside the tank.

Driving across a persistent Earth-size voxel battlefield, hunting enemy armor, exchanging fire, smashing through structures, and testing what Lunastadt feels like from ground level.

This is still early R&D—but the direction is clear:

Tanks. Aircraft. Bombers. Destructible cities. Persistent damage. Eventually, multiplayer warfare connected directly to Lunastadt: The Invasion From the Moon.

The battlefield shouldn’t reset around you.

You should leave scars on it.

EVA Destiny isn’t an attempt to build “another chatbot.”

It’s an experiment in building the cognitive architecture around the model.

Local LLM. Persistent memory. Deterministic fact capture. Provenance. Contradiction handling. Exact-record retrieval. Semantic + lexical + temporal search. Trust-ranked memory. Offline reflection.

And now we’re experimenting with a Shadow Field Engine designed to detect what may be missing from an established information space—while keeping inference explicitly separated from known fact.

The long-term idea is simple:

The LLM shouldn’t have to be the entire intelligence.

Let the architecture handle memory, evidence, continuity, retrieval, and reasoning structure.

Let the language model speak.
