@gberg88 My daughter wanted to meet her favorite basketball player (Jahmai Mashack) and Wes helped make that happen. He 1000% didn’t have to do that. It’s another example of Wes (once again) showing kindness to a stranger.
@gberg88 Wes would talk my ear off at basketball games. But I didn’t mind. I was a fan of his. So the fact that sometimes a simple question would turn into a 30 minute 1:1 podcast was a gift—and that was his—treating strangers as friends.
@Meika_Mashack@SullenSerf Sadly, it’s the fools who don’t know what they’re talking about doing the bulk of the negative tweeting. I wish Tenn had a “good vibes czar” who collected examples of how beloved each player truly is by vol nation for a weekly power point that countered the crazies. 🤔
@Byrongillespie7 Grateful he came back home to Tennessee. Special dude. 🙏🙏 Also grateful he dunked on Yaxel’s head after he was acting like a punk, not picking up the ball. 😤
No life insurance policy…Wes was also a stroke survivor which could have made getting a policy outside of a work policy difficult. #VolTwitter I know you all will handle this like you always do for those in need ❤️
@Meika_Mashack Jahmai said he wanted to win so everyone would know what a good coach Barnes is. Man…the reason we know what a good coach he is because he brings in guys like Jahmai Mashack. #15 is an all-timer.
@Meika_Mashack Not apropos of any discussion going on here, but my three year-old daughter has been obsessed with “pretending to be Mashack” lately and keeps wanting to recreate the steal/save from the Auburn game where Shack dove on the scorers table (she uses our couch). He has a big fan. 🙂
