A terrifying scene in Houston as #Dolphins WR Grant DuBose was carted off the field following a frightening hit over the middle. His jersey was cut off, his facemask removed, and he was placed on an oxygen mask while being attended to for over 10 minutes.
Out of respect, no video will be shared.
I am tired (tiny nephews will do that to an adult) and suspect the results won't become clear until tomorrow at least.
I am going to watch cartoons and the Muppets until I go to sleep.
Thank you, Delaware! Because of your votes and your values, I am proud to be your next member of Congress.
Delaware has sent the message loud and clear that we must be a country that protects reproductive freedom, that guarantees paid leave and affordable child care for all our families, that ensures that housing and health care are available to everyone and that this is a democracy that is big enough for all of us.
Abortion I think will be a big driver for the Democratic vote everywhere north of the Ohio, Missouri, and Kansas Rivers, east of the Applachians, and west of the Central/Mountain Time boundary. The Evangelical South will still rally to Republicans on the issue.
By the same token, I'm looking at counties with mid-sized (post-)industrial cities like Fort Wayne, IN, and Youngstown, OH. That type of county is tipping more Democratic early (well, with from 30-70% reporting in each).
Still very early, but in counties where 90%+ is reporting there's a pretty clear pattern that Trump is holding or improving upon his 2020 margins in rural areas.
Also looking at Allen County, home of Fort Wayne, a city comparable to Grand Rapids, MI, Sheboygan, WI, and countless other small metros across the Midwest. Trump leading by 4.8% in a county he carried by 11.2% in 2020. 45% reporting.
If these numbers hold, Trump's cooked.
The last time a Democratic presidential candidate carried Hamilton County, IN, was 1912, when Republicans were split between William Howard Taft and Teddy Roosevelt.
@bruceanderson I voted for Kornacki because of his versatility - besides election coverage, NBC also wheels him out for NFL playoff probabilities and (literal) horse racing betting analysis.
If you ever looked for an example of how to live a life, do well by others, and love every minute, you could do worse than follow Bill Walton, who would have turned 72 today.
One thing I know about tonight's US election - abortion is going to be a *much* bigger issue for voters (especially women) than has been given credit. That one issue could flip states and turn ruby red states purple.
Missouri is among the 10 states where abortion access propositions are on the ballot โ and the Democratic candidate for governor says sheโs confident Missourians are about to overturn the stateโs strict ban on abortion.

@notliamanders0n We put the transphobic Christo-fascists out of government here in New Brunswick; I hope you folks in the States do likewise.
And as a Jets fan, solidarity with our flying green brethren.
@robhoadley Also, perhaps less nationally interesting, Maine is voting on whether to approve a new flag - a modernized version of the historic Pine Tree flag - to replace its current state-seal-on-a-blue-sheet design. I hope they vote yes because this thing is beautiful!
@robhoadley One interesting twist in Maine that may delay the immediate call of a winner: it's the only state with a presidential ranked-choice ballot. If no candidate makes 50% in either district or state-wide, the 2nd (and even 3rd or 4th) choice of 3rd party voters come into play.
