Going off of monster theory, even at the end of Macbeth he is still an understandable character. He reminds me of Walter White who sacrificed all his morals for the power and security of his family and is ultimately destroyed because of it. #muddybuddies

Macbeth went from being intimidated and manipulated by Lady Macbeth to barely caring at all when she dies. It's ironic how Lady Macbeth created a monster that doesn't care about her when she initially wanted to share power him. #muddybuddies

The scene with Malcom and Macduff shows that Shakespeare does not believe that being a true man means being excessively masculine 24/7. Instead being a true man is more like being like Macduff who is willing to show some emotion or feminine traits. #muddybuddies

"No son of mine will succeed me as king" Yeah, if Macbeth really believed the prophecy was 100% true, then it was kind of short-sighted of him to do something which would ultimately benefit someone else's family. #muddybuddies

By making the witches prophecy that Banquo's kids will ultimately be king, is Shakespeare supporting the idea that a king should be a good person who acts morally considering that he has been "appointed by God"? #muddybuddies

Macbeth hallucinating the dagger could be taken two ways. Either it is some divine apparition telling him to go ahead with the murder or it proves the point that what he's about to do is so bad that it's driving him crazy. #muddybuddies

You could also definitely read Macbeth in terms of the monster theory if you view the witches or Macbeth himself as the monsters. Macbeth talks to himself about the fact that murdering Duncan is wrong. #muddybuddies
