@puckandrally That property was a huge fairgrounds used for the U.S. sesquicentennial celebration in 1926, so the city has had this big plot of land that was basically free for a hundred years now.

@MatthewSitman Trying to find the source, but I read somewhere that the conflict was over where the Augustinians were being assigned to work in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires (this happens all the time between bishops and religious superiors)
