I am part Jewish, grandmothers side and do not practice. I detest what happened October 7th and think we should always stand up in support of a country attacked by terror.

But the liberals let the convoy protest go on for two weeks before they brought the hammer down in Ottawa and from what the courts have now said in an illegal way. I am happy to see these protestors being broken up when they impede traffic but they are certainly being given less latitude and from a government that now has to be more cautious.

In a free society everyone must be allowed to peacefully protest. I like living in a country where I can stand up and yell in opposition to an idea that you could yell in opposition to mine. Of course when groups call for harm
or militant action that cannot be allowed. But we are only truly free if it works both ways even if we don't like the message.

Community notes work to a degree, but as one example I can say Trump was good for the US economy and I can list a few reasons why, or I can say Trump was bad for the US economy and list a few reasons why. I can just say one of those two things though and its still the truth but it doesn't tell the whole story. Nobody is going to community note it because it is true.

But the people on here only seek out one half of the truth and ostracize the other half still speaking the other half of the truth to discredit it. Both parts make up the truth but nobody seeks out the truth they just cherry pick the parts of it that help with their beliefs.

My argument is that one side of every story is so widely told on twitter that the other side no longer has a chance. Which is why I say this is not a platform for the truth but a platform for confirmation bias.
