RFK Jr: Why did "gluten allergies" go up so much in 2006?
"we discovered that Roundup was a desiccant. And what that means, if you spray it on a crop, it will actually dry out the crop. And one of the big enemies of the farmer is that if there's rain around the time of harvest, their crops can get wet, and they get moldy, and then it ruins the entire silo."
"What Monsanto did is they began telling farmers, spray this on the crop, on your wheat, right before harvest or at the time of harvest. And it was so popular that about 85 % of the Roundup that has been used in history has been used since 2006. A large part of that is as a desiccant. And what that meant, is for the first time they're spraying it on food right at harvest."
"Not early in the season when they have a chance to wash off, but actually just before you're going to eat it. And they're spraying it for the first time on wheat because there was no such thing as Roundup Ready Wheat. They started spraying it on wheat as a desiccant. And so 2006 marks the day when suddenly these gluten allergies began exploding. The celiac disease and all these kind of wheat problems that we started seeing in this country."
If you measure it back and say, when did it start? You can look and draw a red line at this 2006 and it's the year that they began spraying it on.
@leadlagreport Zoom out. How many apples, pizzas, cars, houses can you buy? Your purchasing power has grown over time with Bitcoin. You can't possibly same the same thing about fiat money.
@leadlagreport Fiat money systems historically have led to this sort of "irrational exuberance". Human psychology and monetary debasement incentives are a lethal combo.
@leadlagreport I wonder if we should perhaps price Bitcoin in terms of a basket of goods and services instead of in terms of a depreciating fiat currency?
@KevinSvenson_ Are you implying that everyone on Earth will simultaneously agree they cannot purchase any good or service with Bitcoin? How would price fall to zero otherwise? Do you also realize that for 16 years, nearly everyone who did not hold Bitcoin regrets it?
@docstacks@saylor Chris, I am trying to understand MSTR's highest incentive with this capital structure.
Say an investor purchases STRK for $120 ($20 above par).
If Bitcoin rises and STRK rises, would MSTR be incentivized to call / redeem at par, locking in losses for investors?Or keep issuing
@hourly_shitpost Why do you expect the same output with different inputs?
That's like baking chocolate chips, mixing them with raw dough, and then calling them chocolate chip cookies.
Congratulations, you meant to bake chocolate chip cookies, but you got e.coli instead.
