@HMRCcustomers The issue is not proving identity - we have done that successfully. The issue is the next step - entering the UTR once redirected back to https://t.co/4Wg8BqiKHC. It doesn't work. It's probably because my wife is registered under her new surname and verified under her maiden name

@HMRCcustomers I’ve just tried to phone to register my wife’s self assessment details, as the credit agency details check keeps failing. Your automated system put the phone down on me as you’re too busy to take my call. It’s impossible for us to do - advise please

@HMRCcustomers So we did that and managed to get through it. Then https://t.co/4Wg8BqiKHC requires us to enter the UTR. It fails every time at that step saying “there was a problem signing you in”. No other information and we are entering the UTR correctly

@HMRCcustomers We have the UTR. It’s the “verifying details” step that’s tricky. My wife doesn’t have a UK passport so we have to use the credit agency checks, and we keep getting told the answers are wrong. Is there another way?
