I need to book a room in Dublin for next week. Rooms available from €89. Reality is Patrick’s Day fills in Dublin 3 mths in advance. The media reports on prices the week before 17th when Dublin is fully booked for months. People should not support those charging crazy rates
Congratulations to @jdesaulles and and Tara Kerry of @Failte_Ireland on your Irish Hotels Federation @IHFcomms appreciation award for all your work in supporting the industry during Covid. Thank you Jenny and Tara for everything you did for all of us in the hotel sector.
Congratulations Josephine Flynn, @SligoRadisson on your award as Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon Irish Hotels Federation employee of the year. All of us in @iNUAHospitality are very proud of you
@josefoshea Anyone who grew up in the 80’s economic basket case or was burnt by the crash in 2009, recognises that while there are problems now, at least we have a strong economy to be able to deal with problems. Irish people are cautious of politicians who pretend money grows on trees
If the Government raise the VAT rate next week, Irish consumers will pay the 2nd highest tax rate in the EU for eating out & staying in hotels. This measure will raise inflation further & see lots of restaurants closing. 9% is the fair rate for consumers @LeoVaradkar@mmcgrathtd
