@NerenTheBoyo@AbdulElSayed And no, we arent putting minorities in concentration camps. We are deporting illegal immigrants back where they came from at worst
@NerenTheBoyo@AbdulElSayed Its called free markets which leads to innovation. China and mercantilist/fascist countries will make som3 nice things (germany and their cars in ww2) but thats because the state funnels all development into a few things.
Billionaires being creative is why America was #1
Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Senate nominee in Michigan, was asked on Meet the Press last week about family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. His answer: "No." His half-sister's own posts tell a different story.
He says he wasn't raised by his mother. Fine. He still posts "Love you, Mama" on Mother's Day and stood as his sister's guardian at her wedding. Michigan, if he waves off his own sister's words, why trust him with a Senate seat?
@mehdirhasan Judge gratitude by his words. He wrote he refused to face the flag during the anthem, tweeted America "was built on the systematic annihilation of Indigenous Peoples," and asked why "we allow white supremacists to police our borders." I call that contempt. Facing the flag yet?
@mehdirhasan@MikeRogersForMI@AbdulElSayed Personal attacks? El-Sayed says Netanyahu "finally found the dumbass" to fight Iran, called Rogers a "sock puppet" in the debate, and on a strategy call planned to "go straight to pedophilia" when asked about Khamenei. I find this outrage selective. One rule for each side?
@mehdirhasan@AbdulElSayed@marctshort He told NBC "We have no ties." His half sister posted in 2012 "My family has long been MB" and gave her mom's 1970s Brotherhood activism a #respect. He calls that "hearsay evidence from a tweet." I find that flimsy. Is she wrong about her own family? https://t.co/0zGOjSEYyA
@mehdirhasan@AbdulElSayed@marctshort Forget labels and read the record. El-Sayed calls Israel's war a genocide and Netanyahu a war criminal. The day after Khamenei died, he told staff "I just don't want to comment on Khamenei at all." I call that spineless. Loud on our ally, mute on the ayatollah?
@mehdirhasan West Detroit wants safe streets. In 2020 El-Sayed said "we do need to defund the police" and called cops "standing armies we deploy against our own people," then deleted the tweets. Now he wants ICE gone. I call that reckless. Who answers the 911 call? https://t.co/AdiYDlW1SU
@mehdirhasan@AugustCohen4@AbdulElSayed@marctshort He condemned Hamas. He also told CNN Israel's government is just as evil, sent an Oct 7 anniversary fundraising email that skipped the massacre, and called "Israel or Iran?" a "ridiculous hypothetical." I find that morally bankrupt. Which one chants death to America?
@mehdirhasan Talk about company. El-Sayed rallied at MSU and U of M with the streamer who said America deserved 9/11, called disavowal demands "cancel culture," then was "honored" by a PAC whose leader told Israeli Jews "we will take you back to Poland." I call that rotten. Who's next?
@mehdirhasan Apologies cut both ways? A Hezbollah-inspired attacker hit a West Bloomfield synagogue and preschool. El-Sayed condemned it, then added "hurt people hurt people," and apologized five months later. I call that gutless. Would a Republican ever get that much grace?
