๐จ Eddie Hearn says he will NOT let Tom Aspinall fight Alex Pereira or Ciryl Gane under his current UFC deal ๐ฌ
"I'm not gonna let Tom Aspinall fight for the kind of money that's in his contract. To be involved in a fight against Pereira or Gane, for literally 1/50th of the revenue of that show.
F*ck that, I won't let him do it. It's time that those UFC fighters stop being mugs, and start to understand that these people are taking advantage of them. They deserve better.
I will tell you the number in time. UFC fans will be sick to their stomach about the money that Tom Aspinall is supposed to get for that kind of fight. It's not fair."

๐จ Eddie Hearn just asked Dana White to release Tom Aspinall from his UFC contract ๐ณ
"I would like Dana White to release Tom Aspinall from his UFC contract. I will guarantee Dana that I will pay Tom Aspinall a MINIMUM of 3 times more what Dana White is paying him.
Dana White should be happy for Tom Aspinall to receive that deal. [Aspinall] is extremely unhappy... unfortunately for him, he has signed a contract which is one of the worst, most grossly underpaid athletes I have ever seen.
It's absolutely disgusting what they're paying him. Things need to change."

@TobiasMbonneAlm@D_Sull93@BenTheBaneDavis The point is that dumping every personal issue onto social media for validation isnโt the same as getting meaningful help. Therapists, family, friends, support groups, actual conversations โ thatโs very different from performing your breakdowns online for strangers.
@TobiasMbonneAlm@D_Sull93@BenTheBaneDavis Nobodyโs defending Dana. Youโre just so desperate to make this about him personally that you keep avoiding the actual point.
@D_Sull93@TobiasMbonneAlm@BenTheBaneDavis Again, heโs not saying donโt talk about it. Heโs saying thereโs a difference between actually dealing with your problems and turning to social media.
The Dana isnโt perfect argument is pointless. Since when do people need perfect lives before theyโre allowed an opinion?
@TobiasMbonneAlm@BenTheBaneDavis Nobody said Dana is the gold standard for mental health. What he did was obviously wrong.
But using one bad moment to dismiss the entire point, nah. You can condemn his behaviour and still recognise that social media isnโt the place to deal with personal struggles.
@CrogTom@BenTheBaneDavis Iโm not saying people should suffer in silence. I just donโt see how thousands of strangers typing words on a screen is a substitute for real support, real relationships, or actual professional help.
Social media can just as easily make things worse too.
@CrogTom@BenTheBaneDavis I think the problem is that people feel more comfortable seeking validation from strangers online than speaking to people actually close to them or getting real help.
Thereโs nothing wrong with asking for help. But social media isnโt the place to deal with personal struggles.
