LOVE this in-depth look at the various editions of one of my all-time favorite games! I never played the first edition, so it was great to see it. I have the third edition and it’s never leaving my collection. It might even go in the coffin with me (I’m a slave to theme)!
The Esoteric Order of Gamers takes a big bite out of a classic, as Peter explores the edition history of one of his favourite board games - #FuryofDracula! @FFGames

RA needs to get bumped up at least one level, in my opinion. I really like MEDICI, too, and a little card game called FRIDAY THE 13th. It’s not one of his heavy hitters, but I always find it enjoyable and it’s the kind of card game you can socialize over while playing.
I first heard about this phenomenon in an Eldritch Horror forum post a while back. The poster was describing a post-game situation and just casually mentioned, "as I was putting the cardboard tokens back in their punchboards..." <record scratch> As you WHAT?!
And, by the way, the excellent film "Renfield" begins with an onscreen definition of "Familiar" being a human servant of a vampire. My soul shriveled! I love "What We Do In The Shadows", but what have they started?
@DiceTowerDish Corey, I was just listening to the Board Games Insider episode on Essen and I got to the part where Ignacy mentioned "What We Do In The Shadows" and you made the comment, "Am I your thrall?" THRALL! Thank you!
I've been screaming about this, admittedly, very pedantic point, for a while now to anyone who will (and mostly won't) listen. A "Familiar" is a demonic spirit in animal form. Guillermo is a "Thrall". Like Renfield.
