@ballymacaffry @Architectolder I’m from the UK, and I know in the states there’s a very uneasy relationship with things like this. I remember it as a brilliant place to visit, amazing views and got an insight into one of americas most iconic presidents! I really enjoyed Virginia and I couldnt fault the locals

@FSCDems We wouldn’t have seat belts, and we would be allowed to drink alcohol at the wheel. Crypto is an emerging technology that is changing the financial markets and competing against old systems of transferring monetary value. I’m sure people felt the same when switching from gold (2)

@FSCDems ‘What’s the rush to legislate’. I’m sure similar questions came when the car was an evented. Large corporations making money from horse & carriage, threatened by a new emerging, more efficient transport - that inevitably had safety concerns. Imagine if the world didn’t (1)

@bartholomiewo @Architectolder Some pictures of when I visited. You can see on the first that a lot of the shelves are now bare. There’s videos showing how they are cleaning the books and removing them of site for safe storage from now on due to the historical importance of them. As I say, mixed feelings!

@bartholomiewo @Architectolder 100% - Sadly the historic books won’t be part of it though as they will be kept in new environment controlled facilities ect. I understand why, but still sad. When I visited, there were only a few shelves left with books

Over 18 months and 6 court orders later, we finally have the Hinman docs (internal SEC emails and drafts of his infamous 2018 speech). While they remain confidential for now (at the SEC’s insistence), I can say that it was well worth the fight to get them.
