He testified in front of the US Trade Representative because his own government would not.

CANADA WAS ELECTED A PRIME MINISTER BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON WHO COULD HANDLE TRUMP.

Trump held a hearing on tariffs against Canada.

Carney sent a nobody.

A private Canadian did the Prime Minister’s job.

Sovereign wealth funds are surpluses that govts - typically oil-rich regimes - invest as opposed to giving back to citizens.

Canada doesn't have extra money. We have a $1 trillion debt. This is more borrowing.

I write this in tears, because I don't know how to feel about this, but I will feel it nonetheless.

I've watched Charlie Kirk for a long time.

I didn't always agree with him, but I respected his ability to debate, and have civil conversations with people - even as they yelled insults at him.

His calm demeanor is what the world needs right now, and what we should look to as the example he lead with.

It brings into sharp focus the now career that my wife and I have embarked on.

Discussing politics is not supposed to be an occupation that is life threatening.

It's supposed to be difficult in finding common ground, but finding it nonetheless.

And it's never supposed to leave your loved ones wondering if today is the day you won't come home.

The next few days will be difficult, but we hope that all of us on all sides of the political spectrum can come together and denounce this violence and find the one ground that is common to all of us.

Our humanity.

Because that's what Charlie would want.
