“Simple Machines” is dedicated to two generous tent-poles of composition and new music, two dear mentors, David Dzubay and @AugustaReadT, who just happen to be conductor and director of the Grossman Ensemble.

One of the truest joys of my time here in Chicago has been getting the chance to spend a lot of time with the Grossman Ensemble.

A ferocious band and a genuinely wonderful bunch of people. Getting to scribble and workshop “Simple Machines” for and with them was difficult and seriously rewarding. Expect more from us soon, but it’s a delight to share our recent premiere from the @LoganUChicago.

As far as I’m concerned, Earth Day is every day. We mourn what’s already lost while seeking ever-deeper cooperation and real, sustainable solutions. Humanity’s greatest challenge provides us with a chance to live better and to do better. @Boosey
