I know I haven't tweeted in like 7 months, but I've got a very timely and relevant comment to share with everyone: Halloween Ends playing Don't Fear the Reaper at the end is the funniest needle drop I've ever seen and I can't for the life of me figure out how intentional that is.

@JonathanLack Honestly, if you're trying to make a stupid, pedantic argument that EoE isn't a "movie", I'd sooner go to it being stylistically presented as two double length episodes of the TV show (complete with titles) before some confusing paratext argument that has no clear limits.

@JonathanLack Trying to "extend" this image is blasphemy akin to treading into the realm of the divine. This image depicts the World, She who Cradles it and the Children who serve Her. There is nothing that "exists" beyond the edges of this frame, for "existence" can have no meaning there.

@JonathanLack I was pretty skeptical at the idea of turning the second opening theme for Gundam ZZ into a 2 hour movie, but I thought it turned out pretty well. I would've appreciated a Haman Karn cameo though.

His legacy is too big and too much to truly reconcile, but everyday when I collect student work I notice the same kinds of doodles of ki auras and super saiyan hair that I drew back then. If that's not the definition of legacy I don't know what is.

The loss of Toriyama is kind of impossible for me to process. As long as I can remember, I don't think there's a single work of fiction more central to my life than Dragon Ball.

As an adult, Dragon Ball was the first thing I read in Japanese. Probably it's why I learned in the first place. And everday, I connect with students through his work. I had a student who skipped every class but mine because we could chat about Dragon Ball Legendz.
