@bydylanjohnson@NovanSports Wish them nothing but the best.
What is the deal with United Athlete Sports? Hiring college students to cosplay as agents is problematic even assuming the best intentions.
@SamHerderFCS Does Villanova lose 5 spots to Rhode Island in the bracket because Morgan St canceled a game? Everything else in their resumes is even or gives the edge to Nova.
“Ortiz also wasn’t taught how to tell time or how to count money. She can barely hold a pencil because of unaddressed issues with hand fatigue”
What are we doing here?
@VUmander @Brian_Ewart They would take them for all sports. “Basketball only” is a misnomer meaning non football playing member. The NCAA doesn’t even allow true basketball only membership.
@MattBrownEP Matt do you have any insight on the status of programs like Villanova and Georgetown football where the Big East will opt into revenue sharing but the CAA and Patriot League likely won’t? Will revenue sharing be allowed in FCS at all?
Power 4: $9.76 million per team
Big East: ~$4.54 - 6.36 per team
Apparently football is only more valuable than basketball when the money is coming in. They’re equal when the bills come due.
Expected initial 10-year funding plan for $2.8B (figures could shift slightly):
- NCAA national office pays 41% ($1.1B)
- Schools pay 59% in distribution reduction ($1.65M).
Of the school distribution, P5 is responsible for 40% ($664M) & 27 other leagues will pay 60% ($990M).
@ChrisFull40 Hawkins and Sanogo are barely in the league. Clingan is at best a Mitchell Robinson clone year 1. Jackson doesn’t crack Thibs’ rotation. This is just farming UConn Twitter for clicks.
