@bdquinn@nikicaga For a lot of military enthusiasts this stuff is all just cool history devoid of any moral implications, same with non-Southerners who worship Robert E. Lee or whatever.
@punished_coxey@avispartan1 I have said nothing bigoted about anybody. You, on the other hand, have declared an entire nationality to be evil, which is textbook bigotry.
@avispartan1@punished_coxey@Sturgeons_Law Not everyone, and in any case, as you note, that is a draft, not particularly voluntary. There are plenty of Israelis who don't support their government, and the blanket condemnation of an entire nationality is completely contrary to humanitarian values.
@punished_coxey@Sturgeons_Law You didn’t choose “Reich” at all, as noted. You have not comprehended the difference between nationality and membership in a military organization.
@punished_coxey@Sturgeons_Law No, they are not at all the same. You are conflating nationality with membership in a specific organization. The equivalent would be saying that a person was a Nazi sympathizer because they had friends who were German.
@baraqaaboyz@Sturgeons_Law I mean, yeah, why wouldn’t she oppose a revolution that turned Iran into a totalitarian theocracy that brutally oppressed her?
@divideANDimpera@gaganbiyani There are states that operate 100% by mail. It is not a problem.
Also, for the first hundred years or so of American democracy you commonly had to declare your vote publicly.
