JAPAN PUSHES HYDROGEN-BLEND ENGINES AS PRACTICAL ENERGY SHIFT

Kawasaki Heavy Industries has launched commercial orders for a new engine that runs on a 30% hydrogen and 70% natural gas mix, allowing existing power infrastructure to cut emissions without major overhauls.

Backed by Japan’s massive green investment push, the technology is also being tested for cargo ships, offering a scalable way to reduce emissions in one of the world’s hardest-to-decarbonize industries.

Not flashy, not perfect, but it’s the rare energy solution that actually works with reality instead of against it.
