I generally agree but if a panel sucks it’s 100% a problem w the moderator. Great moderators make panels fun, fast paced and interactive w audience. The problem isn’t the panel it’s that most moderators are horrible bc it’s a very tough skill to train for. It’s not about prep it’s about situational intelligence in the moment like improv. 99.99% of people are poor moderators.

Was in London last spring and had kid on a citi bike rip a phone out of my hand while I was with my wife crossing st in front of our hotel Cafe Royal. Concierge told us it happens to guests daily. Have since spoken to several friends where something similar happened. London is beautiful city but the rif raff and petty crime is reaching ridiculous levels. One of the worst big cities globally for this stuff and that’s wild to say
