At first blush, it appears Hana-Rāwhiti Maipi-Clarke — who infamously claimed her house was ram-raided and subjected to a home invasion, has now falsely claimed she spends a large portion of her time visiting rangatahi in juvenile centres, correction centres, or Oranga Tamariki (OT) facilities. She has positioned herself as their advocate or spokesperson, saying they have been unfairly criminalised.

The only problem? According to the Minister of Children, there appear to be no records whatsoever of those visits.
