It has been revealed that the City of Asheville, NC, will reportedly rebuild only 8 houses using the $225 million grant it received from the Trump administration following Hurricane Helene.

That's correct…..Eight.…out of 11,488 damaged homes.

The city allocated only $3 million for home repairs.

Meanwhile, $14.9 million was allocated for “administration.”

That means nearly five times more was allocated for administration than for repairing homes for people affected by the disaster.

And that's not the worst of it….

More than 100 approved families are reportedly currently on a waitlist for assistance that they may never receive.

...was just caught doing 120 to 130 MPH, running stop signs, and turning off his headlights to escape cops...

His name is Denis Maldonado-Reyes, he's 19 years old, in Apopka, Florida.

Back in November, troopers say he was driving 90 miles per hour in a 45 zone. Double the limit.

His Ford Mustang plowed into the side of a LYNX transit van as it turned.

Two people inside that van were k*lled.

Jerry Earl, 81 years old.
Aida Maldonado, 94 years old.

He tried to blame the VAN.

Nearly a YEAR later, that fatal case still hasn't been resolved.

He pleaded not guilty and he's been walking free the entire time.

And what did he do with that freedom?

Late last month, a deputy saw his Mustang blow through a four-way stop. Pass a car over a double yellow line. Then TURN OFF HIS HEADLIGHTS in the dark to try to disappear.

The chase hit 130mph.

And he was doing it all on a SUSPENDED LICENSE.

Suspended because he never paid a ticket for illegally blowing past a stopped SCHOOL BUS.

31 YEARS in prison for taking her daughter’s life just hours after losing custody.

24-year-old Maige Yang of Champlin, Minnesota, was sentenced to 31 years and 8 months after pleading guilty to intentionally causing the death of her daughter, De’Ali, by putting a large amount of children’s sleeping medication into her bottle.

The timing is almost impossible to comprehend.

De’Ali’s father, Erick Delgado, had been fighting for custody. Just a week earlier, he sought emergency custody, telling the court Yang was behaving erratically and that he believed she may have untreated mental-health issues.

Then on January 9, he finally won temporary custody.

According to Delgado, that happened around 11:30 a.m.

By roughly 4 p.m., his daughter was gone.

Yang later told investigators she wanted De’Ali to “pass peacefully in her sleep” and that she was trying to “make the pain go away.”

She has now pleaded guilty and will spend decades behind bars.

Mental health may help explain how someone’s thinking can become this distorted. It doesn’t make the ending any less devastating.

A father fought through the courts to protect his little girl.

He finally won.

He just never got the chance to bring her home.
