The whole point of art, in fact the point of engaging with another person's thoughts in any capacity, is to expand your very limited individual perspective on the world, not to live in a tiny box perfectly catered to your adolescent personal tastes
So I just got rickrolled by Treyarch...
There are QR codes on some Black Ops 7 weapons... for example, the XM325 one reads “ZEUSLMG-ZEUSLMG.”
After trying to get a cleaner look at the one on the Warden and eventually redrawing it myself, I finally managed to decode it.
It says...
“rickroll” 💀
"safe" isn't wonderful because it's a technical marvel. "safe" is wonderful because you can understand the intent behind it. this is why art is better than a prompt.
These Anthropic guys are literally insane. This goes beyond like just dangerous AI uses and into a full on god complex. Like the *definition* of a god complex since you’re claiming you created life. And you think the Pope of all people is gonna bless that? Genuinely disturbing behavior
@metalgearobama I mean it’s consistent with them thinking “Culture” is literally encoded into genes. Thats always been their stance because they are very stupid. Shakespeare was a great writer simply because he was born that way; no further explanation needed for a simple mind
Every time I hear people criticize art/ creative related fields I think about how art is usually what we use to remember past civilizations. Literature, paintings, architecture and pottery come to mind. A government against art is a government against humanity.
God, they always go for the arts and humanities and I’m so fucking tired. All you guys see is money, all you care about is profit and gain and power. We need more artists, musicians, writers, dancers. We need more educators, therapists, philosophers-people who UNDERSTAND people.
So an Elementary Education major can’t take out loans because they don’t “make enough money” even though they have one of the most important and hardest jobs in the world
Sad that we define value only by money
So much of cinema's power comes from believing that theres another human mind on the other side of the screen conversing with you. Someone who made hundereds small, big, deliberate, specific choices in every single frame.
The tragedy of AI art isn't even that it looks bad, it's that it forces you to become a skeptic. The moment you start wondering if a gesture, a certain pacing, a duration of pause was intentional or just a program hallucinating, calculating probabilities,...the immersion dies, the magic disappears.
@LaughingLynx1@TomWarlord It's nice that someone in our government had the sensitivity to accept with grace and show them the respect they deserve, while not spending resources for a futile effort.
We "do the right thing" a hell of a lot more often than most people think.
