Nobody should be better off on benefits than someone who gets out of bed everyday & works full time.
Back in the day people were embarrassed claiming benefits.
Nowadays it appears it’s a badge of honour.
It should pay to work not pay to stay in bed.
@PaulineOta Packed in when they increased to 59 numbers, also used the same numbers every week, could've won it a dozen times since for all I know but have never once been tempted to check the results since then.
@trixie_belle54@GBNEWS Actually the odds of winning dropped from the original one in 14 million to one in 45 million when they increased the number of balls from 49 to the current 59. They're getting desperate.
@metoffice Complete bollox, totally overcast with intermittent drizzle in west Cumbria, temperature currently 13 degrees C which is about 6 or 7 degrees lower than what's shown on your chart.
ANOTHER STARMADA
300 extra illegals today. We have no idea who they are. This country is being invaded & our political class is impotent to stop it! https://t.co/1ikaoUErZY
Why are pensioners who receive less than the minimum wage, having to pay income tax ? Isn't it time to unfreeze the tax free allowance and set it to at least £20k. . .?
@Glyn496@terrybnd@Cumbriapolice@lakedistrictnpa Same on the B5300 in Cumbria along the coast road between Maryport and Silloth, gorse bushes at any usable overnight parking place festooned in shitty toilet paper.
@terrybnd@Cumbriapolice@lakedistrictnpa Indeed, the result of our dumbed down 'no consequences' society that we've had to helplessly witness coming to fruition over the past thirty or so years. Our only hope now is for fuel prices to continue to increase up to the point where it's unaffordable for them to come.
@terrybnd@Cumbriapolice@lakedistrictnpa No doubt left last night by one of the many "van-lifers" overnighting every weekend now on the B5289 a few hundred yards away.
@terrybnd@Cumbriapolice@lakedistrictnpa South shore of Crummock Water this morning - human excrement, soiled toilet paper, beer bottles, camp fires and it's only March.....
@Feargal_Sharkey#unitedutilities increased our bill by 28% last year from around £400 to £600, just had an email from them to say it's going up another 14% to around £680 from April! Where does it end?!!
