Last night I asked your help to get a message from a Marvel Superhero for our son Seb. Recovering from open heart surgery and being so damn brave. The very awesome @VancityReynolds has made our Heart Hero’s day! Thank you so much.🙏♥️🌈
An emotional stage moment that had the whole room in tears!
Hero NHS heart surgeon Asif Hasan was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award, surrounded on stage by past winner Cecilia Adamou and the courageous children whose lives he transformed! 🏆🌟
Having saved over 2,000 kids throughout his legendary career, seeing his young patients take to the stage to thank him directly was pure magic.

Last night Seb’s heart surgeon Mr Hasan received @PrideOfBritain Lifetime Achievement Award. What he didn’t know was that 19 of his Heart Heroes were waiting to surprise him on stage. Watching Seb stand among them & thank the man who saved his life was something I’ll never forget
We spend so much time looking forward to the next big thing. The holiday, the promotion, the weekend, retirement… but what about everything happening in between?
Sometimes the small moments tell us the most about what makes us happy, gives us energy and what really matters.
You know those people you can just be around? No pretending, no pressure to be ‘on’, no need to explain yourself. Just you, exactly as you are.
Those relationships are pretty special, and sometimes we forget to tell people just how much they mean to us.
You can understand something, teach & support others about it, but still get it wrong yourself.
I had a stupid & expensive reminder of that a few days ago.
This week’s video is a confession about self-awareness, emotional regulation & the fact that I’m still a work in progress.
Some of life’s most difficult moments can somehow exist alongside moments of extraordinary joy, love and connection.
One doesn’t diminish the other.
This week’s Thrive Guy video is a very personal reflection on one of those moments I shared with my mum.
Reflecting on Nadine’s @Great_Run.
From starting on the ‘actual’ start line, to playing a key role in supporting @chris_kammy achieving his Everest, alongside our dear friend @benshephard and Kammy’s son Jack.
I think my eyes have only just stopped leaking.
So damn proud!♥️
@chris_kammy@benshephard You were unbelievable Chris. Great sharing a beer with you last night and Nadine is awestruck by what you did today; she loved running with you all.👊♥️
Proud doesn’t even come close.
Today Nadine takes on the @Great_Run for @CHUFOfficial - helping Heart Heroes like Seb.
She’s overcome so many obstacles in the last few months, including breaking her toe; but has never given up!
Go smash it my love.♥️♥️♥️
As adults, we seem to have become very good at making everything productive, measurable or somehow about moving us forward.
But what about doing something simply because it’s fun?
That’s the thought behind this week’s Thrive Guy video.
I’ll never get bored of living by the coast and getting this kind of view; whether it’s on the bike, running, walking or just taking the long route home in the car.
Self-compassion isn’t soft and fluffy, nor does it always make difficult things feel easier.
So what does it actually do?
This week’s Thrive Guy video is a slightly more personal reflection on just that.
Real kindness takes courage.
It’s not about keeping everyone comfortable. It’s about caring enough to do what’s actually helpful, even when that’s the harder thing.
Where could you choose kindness today?
Kindness isn’t the same as being nice.
Sometimes kindness is listening or having someone’s back and sometimes it’s saying no, challenging someone, or telling them something they really don’t want to hear.

20 years since we said “I do” and I still feel like the luckiest man alive.
Through the most amazing highs and challenging lows we’ve always been there for each other.
Love you 3.000.
♥️♥️♥️
