@one_bald_dude You would trust it in the same way you trust an open-source DeFi application. It's not the chain's responsibility to build applications. It's better if it just creates a space on which anyone can build the way they see fit. That's decentralization.
@one_bald_dude It limits the baker's ability to create their own system of payments to delegators, and (for the most part) eliminates the supply and demand mechanism of choosing a baker that's right for you.
@one_bald_dude One great thing about #Tez is that it has the properties of a free market. IMO adding on-chain payments would be against that, and would end up hurting the ecosystem.
People are free to create as many rating tools as they want, and that's the proper way towards decentralization.
