After what has undoubtedly been a nerve wracking and very busy weekend, @LongmateAdy and the team @Bombergateway have placed their beautiful tribute to Bomber Command next to the A46 at Norton Disney. Huge respect to them for achieving what they aimed to. Be proud Lincolnshire!
A closer look at the detail of the construction. The aircraft is being placed on the supports tomorrow and Sunday. Those wishing to witness it are encouraged to do so by those putting her in place. (I don’t need to say this I’m sure, but please do so responsibly!)
For those not on Instagram, this is the video attached to the post below. An absolutely amazing project close to completion through the dedication of some hugely committed people with the help of charitable donations and business support. The Angel of the East?
An incredible project very nearly coming to fruition. Keep your eyes out along the A46 near the old RAF Swinderby. A labour of love from the chaps who designed, built and are about to put this up. Support them. Lest We Forget. https://t.co/6VjUGl5nrj

On Sunday, our Lancaster flew over London and the Bomber Command Memorial during the annual Bomber Command Memorial Service, as veterans and current serving personnel gathered to remember those who lost their lives during the Second World War.

We are now running low on this amazing patch!
On the 14th June 2025, Geoffrey along with 300 special patches took flight in the amazing Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Official) (BBMF) Lancaster Bomber for His Majesty The King’s Birthday Flypast over London.
We are thrilled to announce that all profits from the sales of this incredible event patch will jointly go to ‘Great Ormond Street Hospital’ and the ‘Mark Long Trust’ that is in the process of being set up by Mark’s family and friends.
The Trust will be supporting scholarships through Flying Scholarships for Disabled People (FSDP), and provide opportunity within aviation for disadvantaged people.
We cannot express how grateful for each and everyone of you for your support, with this we have an opportunity to help so many people!
Thank you!
Patches are available now on our website

20 years ago, ten of my colleagues from RAF Lyneham lost their lives aboard C130K XV179, when she was lost in Iraq. The video is a tribute to Them at RIAT the summer afterward.
Watch the video, listen to the words, remember Them. Please.
Lest We Forget.
