@BYUGuy87 His $43M per year will bring BYU to around $100M which will still be below Utah. That graphic isn’t the value of the contract but the annual earnings. Did you misunderstand?
@realjakemcneil@RickWritesNow@GovCox Got it. I see the rationale and back to your point, it’s just about trusting what’s really true. Thanks for explaining!
@realjakemcneil@RickWritesNow@GovCox So, in the alternative that this weren’t built, that unused water would not still end up in the lake otherwise? I can see how it may be more efficient than people realize but I still can’t grasp it being better for the lake then not building. (Again, genuinely asking)
@EricSpracklen Why would someone having bought a house in the last 6-7 be considered “panic buying”? Maybe people just bought houses? You seem to be insinuating everyone who bought a house was doing so unintelligently.
@soigomaa Sleep training & providing minimal affection to your children are VERY different things. I am highly affectionate to my two children. I also spent 2-3 days of their lives encouraging habits of self soothing through sleep training that helped them become much better sleepers.
Even if you take the conservative defense of each ICE killing, you’re left with “We haphazardly scaled up a poorly trained police force to storm into neighborhoods that voted against the president, where we antagonize the local population until someone resists arrest, and then we kill them,” which is morally horrendous on top of being an absurd way to do immigration policy.
@GlassHalfUte @Dane_BHam O-Line (or Injuries of course) is the only rationale I could imagine for being 7 wins or less. If the O-Line is decent, and team stays relatively healthy, it does feel like 9 wins feels doable.
@ToddLlewellyn@thegaryutah I think it’s really hard to simplify it like that. It’s probably a string of events that all when linked looks rough but isolated all made sense at the time for how UU administration handled this.

@ToddLlewellyn@thegaryutah Thanks! Don’t envy anyone in the situation but do truly hope it’s the rare win-win that many well informed people are suggesting!
@ToddLlewellyn@thegaryutah It wasn’t as simple as letting him keep coaching if he wants after he spent years putting a different plan in motion. I actually think it’s disheartening that he basically built Scalley up just to the leave him with a mess in the end anyway.
@ToddLlewellyn@thegaryutah Truthfully, it is a win-win but I think Whitt’s lack of accountability to his role in the process is what’s most disappointing. It’s all good but the “no longer welcome” card in a way that made him look like the exclusive victim in a situation he very much contributed to.
